The ESTEP Annual Event 2025 aims at bringing together the European steel community to explore research and innovation in decarbonization, digitization, and circular solutions that will shape the sustainable future of the European steel industry.
Achievements, challenges, and future perspectives will be examined through contributions from diverse European steelmaking stakeholders and presentations of ongoing projects under the Clean Steel Partnership. The event will foster dialogue between the steel sector and other key industries engaged in the European Green Deal—such as for e.g. cement, water, and aluminium—to promote industrial symbiosis and cross-sector collaboration.

The event will start on 28 October 2025 with an optional visit of Acciaierie Bertoli Safau SpA (ABS) facilities.
It will be followed on 29 & 30 October 2025 with a two-days technical conference (in person) at the Biblioteca Rizzi of the Udine University (Università degli Studi di Udine).

> Buses will be foreseen from Danieli in Udine town to the conference venue as well as for the site visit. The meeting point for pick-up is at Piazza I Maggio (in front of the Infopoint Udine/Promo Turismo FVG).

Attendance fees :
The conference fee includes the catering, dinner and sightseeing tour.
Tentative schedule of programme for the event
28 October - plant tour : 8h30 - 17h30 + diner
29 October - conference : 9h00-17h30 (+ diner at 19h)
30 October - conference : 8h30 - 16h
ABS visit : for organisational reasons, only the first 50 registered participants will be admitted.
In order to ease the visit, participants will be divided into 2 groups (buses will be foreseen).
